As I write this, a garbage truck is backing his way down the entire block, making a racket, and I thought of racketeering. So I added a donate button. I know, I know, quite scandalous of me. But hear me out.

Whatever money happens to pop up in my PayPal account will pop right back into the show. I have some equipment that I would like to get so that I may expand the show, make it better. But I'm married and buying a house and the wife won't let me drop dimes on hobby stuff. She's all "we have bills to pay" and "we're poor" and "stop picking at that". Okay, the last one is unrelated and, okay, I may have exaggerated her exasperation. But the point remains, I can't really manage on my own and I don't want to invest in any fancy equipment if the demand isn't there. If you like the show how it is and don't want me picking at it then all is well. If you feel, as Cheryl Crow does, that A Change (Will Do You Good), then drop a buck or two in the bucket.

So...due to the largeness of the first file (due as much to length as my own dumbassery...saving as a .wav rather than a .mp3, what a noob I be), I am unable to post another podcast until the 20th. Thirty days after the first file. That's when that file gets archived and I get space back. Simple enough. I'm just warning you, though, that I will be doing some recording soon. I may record in chunks, I may not. Either way, some of the upcoming material may not be exactly timely. And I will, for sure, try to keep myself under the size limit. I have a surprise in store for y'all. Heh...I said y'all. Bah.

That said, I just wanted you to know that I haven't died, I'm just waiting for my time to come. I am a shadowy presence felt behind faded eyelids, or some such thing.

Dmanley was a narcissistic little podcast I ran from a free server (still around with all the old shows at: www.dmanley.podomatic.com). All went well until I used up all of the allotted space. With no archiving feature, I was forced to start again somewhere new. Revamp my image, so to speak. Begin a second life (NOT the boring generic Sims game) here, on libsyn.com. I traded in the old name, boring and ineffectual and, consequently, my own for a newer, sleeker model. Slowly Making Love to Your Face. I think it's quite descriptive.

Well, you may say, that's all to the good. Revamping and all, sounds hot. And it is. Very hot. I'm touching myself as I type this, which makes for slower typing and heavy breathing. But, you continue (slightly awkward with the gained knowledge of my carnal computing habits), what does this mean for the format of the show? Will you actually have one now?

Sort of. Maybe. I mean, I'm going to have some reoccurring segments, old stand-bys if you can dig it, things that I will likely abandon should something in my personals become interesting (not likely, don't worry your pretty little head too much). So, in short, my method will be helter-skelter and hodgepodge and an assortment of other old-timey words that sound so good and retro to the new-timey ear. A lot of the segments are callbacks to the early shows I've done, but with newer, edgier titles. Cool beans.

Alright, well, I've unleashed a lot of excitement on you and you're going to want to process it all. I need to clean up. I hope to get a new show posted soon. Not tonight, obviously, because I'm recording a FrankWit show in about a half-hour. Maybe tomorrow if I'm not watching 300. Not Friday, I have a hockey game. I mean, if I have to get pinned down to a time it'll be Saturday. I've already done a bunch of prep stuff tonight, so there shouldn't be a whole lot I need to do. Whatever, you don't care about the behind-the-scenes stuff, you just want to hear my purdy li'l voice coming at you quick and hard. And you will. Be patient.

Until then, prepare for my second coming.
